This weekend, my wonderful friends Sue and Roy came for a visit. Irene and I took Friday off, and together we had a ridiculously delicious 3-day weekend. When we weren’t eating (and there was a lot of eating), we were walking around exploring and remembering what it felt like to be 18.
I picked up this framed swatch of screen-printed vintage wallpaper at this quirky store called The Curiosity Shoppe.
I also loved this little art project kit — I think it’d make a delightful, funky-sort of Valentine.

Roy got me this awesome set of “Blog Posts” sticky notes.
These will make writing inspirational notes to myself so much more fun.

Oh I LOVE the art project kit – very sweet!
What a sweet way to say, "I love you." And, it will last the lifetime of the garment. Genius!
Cute art project!
I think that would make a rather endearing Valentine's day surprise… but to be honest, I don't think my boyfriend would notice. Alas!
I don't get the "The Best" sew-in art project. It seems like the most obvious interpretation is that the shirt you sewed it into, not the (future) wearer is the best.
And what if they think that you sewed it in while you wore it, and then forgot to take it out. Like you can't even wear a shirt without the affirmation that your shirt is the best shirt!
In conclusion: confusing.
Note to self: never sew "The Best" into any of Alex's sweaters 😛
It's definitely a cute idea but, personally, I'd be more likely to sew "#2" into somebody else's shirt. This would lead to them asking, "Why did you sew this #2 into my shirt?" Then I could reply, "Because I think you're the shit."
It might be a tad crude for some, but I'm pretty sure my hubby would get a kick out of it.
That is hilarious! HAHAHA. You should make your own art project kits.
