Casual Fridays

General

First, a bit of back story before this post. Lately, I’ve been giving my blog a lot of thought, including how to incorporate more things I love and am inspired by. One thing I’ve been a bit timid about doing (but have been wanting to do for some time now) is posting about my own personal style and beautiful, whimsical locations that make me love the South Bay. When I told Nathalie about this, she offered to snap some pictures of me which was an awfully nice gesture because I knew she would be good at it and would make me feel not as awkward as I imagined I would feel if anyone else had taken the pictures. Didn’t she do such a great job? This was her first time ever using a DSLR! I’m having fun with this, which I believe is the whole purpose of keeping a blog, so all right, enough about that then, here we go!
Therapy blouse, Citizens of Humanity jeggings, borrowed, crazy tall Charles David heels (or more accurately, crazier tall than I’d ever normally dare buy and/or wear)
The Look: On Fridays, in my office, we have what we endearingly call “Casual Fridays.” Everyone rejoices on this day because on this day, we are allowed, encouraged even, to come to work dressed in our blue jeans. I wear some ridiculously comfortable slacks to work, but still find it thrilling to show up to a place of business with my weekend wear on. I did upgrade my look by trading in my favorite t-shirt for this flowy white blouse which says “I go with the flow” and “I am head chef here” all at once.

The Location: Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. This is part of Santa Teresa County Park, which is where we do a lot of hiking. There are other trails I like more, but let’s be honest, they don’t have chickens, old farming equipment or a tiny vegetable garden.
