My friend Sashee is part of a cooking group called Bite Club. Every Monday, a different person hosts the dinner and gets to decide on the night’s theme. Last week, it was Sashee’s turn to host, and she invited Alan and I over for a night of autumn treats.
While the cooks were busy in the kitchen, the guests warmed themselves with mugs of spiced apple cider.
We had a delicious three-course meal which consisted of pumpkin curry bisque, chicken pot pie and pumpkin pie.
The bisque had a great texture and a nice spicy kick.
Piping hot pot pies pulled straight from the oven are one of the best comfort foods. Look at the amazing flake on this crust.
Homemade pumpkin pie was a sweet way to end an evening of eating and laughing. I’m so glad I finally got a chance to partake in the most exclusive cooking club on the planet–thanks for having us, Sashee!
Everything looks delicious 😀
Yum, looks so amazing! And now you've got me craving hot apple cider!
So yummy!
The pumpkin curry bisque sounds delish! I love squash & curry together. This is a great idea for a club!
I think this pie is often made from canned pumpkin or packaged pumpkin pie filling (spices included); this is a seasonal product available in bakeries and grocery stores, although it is possible to find year-round.
