Afternoon Tea at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

General

Ever since I was introduced to my friend Sashee (we met on a friendship blind date a mutual old boss set us up on), I’ve gotten a lot more into teas. I still start every morning with a good cup of coffee, but she’s taught me to appreciate afternoon tea (as seen here and here). So I jumped at the chance to have high tea at the Mandarin Oriental while we were in Hong Kong. The chocolate peppermint pot of tea, chocolate biscuits and tea sandwiches were a perfect way to relax after our morning hike, even if our outfits didn’t come close to matching the sitting room’s dress code of “smart casual.”
