I always freak out when any kind of professional who I have a &amp;#39;work&amp;#39; relationship with; my doctor, my dentist, my physio, etc, asks me something about my personal life. I also don&amp;#39;t want to know anything about them. Knowing about where they went on vacation somehow erodes my trust in them as omnipotent and all capable of putting in that filling without slicing my lip in half. &lt;br /&gt;Finnish doctors are like that, impersonal. So I guess it has to do with how I was brought up. But Danish doctors on the other hand, have receptions that look like living rooms and ask you how your marriage is doing.&lt;br /&gt;I used to fight the urge to run away screaming.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2360593805083673688/4446193687008493973/comments/default/7785825586101499130'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2360593805083673688/4446193687008493973/comments/default/7785825586101499130'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.quietlikehorses.com/2009/11/not-knowing-doctors-not-really-anyway.html?showComment=1257322081642#c7785825586101499130' title=''/><author><name>Extranjera</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/13972708570414496825</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='11776999646747449973'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.quietlikehorses.com/2009/11/not-knowing-doctors-not-really-anyway.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2360593805083673688.post-4446193687008493973' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2360593805083673688/posts/default/4446193687008493973' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
