The other day I was sitting on the couch and noticed a twig sticking out of our mail recycling bag by the front door. Unless I’ve been misguided my whole life, twigs don’t normally walk inside of their own volition, so I asked Alan if he knew where it came from.
“What’s this?” I asked.
“What’s what?” he asked.
“This,” I pointed at the twig.
this one's really pretty. a twig's not a twig. it's got magic in it. 🙂 you never disappoint.
Maybe the Harry Potter world really exists and someone accidentally dropped their wand ;.)
I thought I was looking at a comfy throw pillow? 😉 This is a lovely post. 🙂
'by the power of Cherlindrea's wand!!'
It DOES look like a magic wand – save it for next Halloween!
Alan still has the eye of a child.
I have always wanted a magic wand. Make a wish… although if Alan is finding magic wands, your wish already came true..
I'm glad you guys found the magic wand as amusing as me! Hehe, I love silliness.
hah 🙂 looks great!!
If it were me, I'd just start coming up with odd words to use as spells at any given moment. (Want the TV channel to miraculously change? "Sha-boo-ya!" Want the dishes to do themselves? "Bow-Chica-Bow-Wow!") Then I'd whip out the wand when he didn't expect it and be as serious as possible when casting (shouting) my spells. See how long you can keep the gag going before you've both stopped laughing and you find yourself figuratively kicking a dead horse.
Now I need to find a good twig…
MunkBt's comment is hilarious. I found a twig once that reminded me of a magic wand and I took it home but was too embarrassed to tell anyone.
a lovely post! … a simple yet beautiful reminder to believe in magic and miracles 🙂
