Do you remember these?? These 25 paper rings, often made of construction paper of the green and red variety by elementary school children? Do kids still make things like this? Or do they create really complex Christmas countdown chains on the computer now?
I haven’t seen one of these since the early nineties when I would make them myself, and surprisingly, tonight the Christmas Grinch Alan suggested we make one.
Where should I put this in my cube? Perhaps I could just drape it around my neck, removing one ring every morning as I fix myself a bowl of cereal?

Also, happy to hear I'm not the only one that gets stuck with a grinch for Christmas. DH can be pretty darn bad. *sighs*
My kids and I make them still. We have also made them to countdown other things like the birth of a sibling.
It is a great visual for children that do not have a concept of days yet. Hmmm…haven't thought of doing it this year though. I guess we will tonight.
my siblings and i would make a paper chain every year. we also had two different advent calendars so each of us had something to do each day, either open one of the advent squares or tear off a paper chain! I love that you guys made one…who says we have to stop having fun just because we're adults now!

My daughter still makes these. No fancy computerized ones for us! It is fun to recapture that joy of childhood.
Neat. I remember making paper chains for Christmas, but not counting down on the chains…we decorated our classroom with them, red and green. Haven't made one for years!
