My obsession with pillows started around this time last year when I bought my first couch. I didn’t want just any cushions to support my lower back or to cradle my head while napping. I wanted perfect pillows, ones that would complement the brown fabric of the couch, while simultaneously pulling out the greens and yellows in the room to bring it all together.
A year later, I am as obsessed as ever, except now I am in real danger of never being able to afford a house or to get to go on a bona fide vacation any time soon because I want to spend all my savings on everything by pillowhappy. There isn’t even enough space on my couch for all the insanely cute pillows I want, but I figure I can put them in my car, in the kitchen… maybe I can create my own Chuck E.Cheese inspired ball pit filled with pillows!
Here are a few of my favorites:
I absolutely love the grass one and the coral-sea plant one. I'm leaving now to go look at their website.
Those are actually really awesome pillows. I especially love the one with the two little green birds and the pink bird on top. For some reason I saw it and thought "duck duck goose," haha.
And thank you so much for commenting on my blog, Sobrina!! You should have seen me, I freaked out when I read your name… it was like a celebrity had stopped by. :)Visit anytime!!

These are great. It's a good thing I live abroad right now; I can't buy anything big because I'm moving back home soon…
Don't you love Ets? Some times I get lost looking at all the incredible artistic talent on that site. Anything can be had, thanks for sharing : )
Brea
I love love love the first pillows. And oh wow, I think I need them. Eek, I have to stay off of Etsy- I always find something I *need* and um…well, my opinion on *needing* it (I'M GOING TO DIE AND OMG CAN'T OMG BREATHE WITHOUT IT!!!) is a bit different than Husband's opinion on *needing* it.
Men. *glares*
God Sobrina they're absolutely stunning :):) i really love any kind of home stuff too including pillows 🙂 they're just awesome..
They're so cute!
I'd be completely obsessed as well if I can buy them 😀
You have a disease…its called way-too-much-style-itis 🙂
love those pillows!
All of those are really, really fantastic! I think you may have just sparked a pillow obsession with me. Retirement savings is over-rated anyway. 😉
Ooooh! The grass one is super cute! Gah… now I'll have to look at their website, too. 😀
they look really simple to make I wonder if I could try one of them out….what are they made from? If I figure this out I will be sending you some pillow covers…I too have pillow issues…but I also have rug issues…really bad rug issues.
Those pillows are just adorable! Sobrina, you are getting so domestic ~ first the blog on cell phone "children", now the cute domestic pillows… Next thing, you & your sweetie going to settle down & start a family! I'll be waiting for the blog update!! ~Lynn
laugh@Liz! I too was toooo excited when you stopped by Sobrina!
Funny how each person picked a different fav pillow. My pic, yes pic of O N E pillow *Sobrina step very slowly away from your mouse* I thought the grass one was super lovely! Although, now, we need to see your couch!

Katherine, don't say I didn't warn you! 🙂
Liz and Wuthering, that's one of the nicest comments I've ever gotten! Thank you for feeling so honored by lil ol me! hehe.
Sheila, I appreciate the honesty! But I probably would never get around to making myself pear bean bags 😛
Gladys, I know, me either! My couch is still so bare…
Kanmuri, wait til you get back, she might even have more designs by then!
haha Chloe, yes, I understand what you mean. Here I am looking at pillows on my computer and Alan is checking out computer cases.
Brea, I agree! Etsy is so wonderful — do you have any other favorite etsy shops?
Kerree, anything with an "itis" on the end sounds really scary, but this disease doesn't sound so bad ;P
Jana, you would be my hero.
Razberry Corner, I know! Sometimes I scare myself!
I recently discovered Etsy as I was shopping for wedding jewelry. I can get lost there for hours…much like on YouTube, except with Etsy there is actual damage to your wallet. Now I have to fight the urge to shop for pillows!
Those are simple and attractive pillows. One would be able to replicate those fairly easily, I would think.
I got a simple sewing machine on sale a year ago and pillows are actually the easiest thing to make. It's what you start sewing to practice.
The designs seem fairly easy to copy and add a touch of your own flair to. If you know someone with a machine you might want to ask them to hook you up, and save you a ton of money, since fabric is really cheap and the filling is really cheap as well. Realistically, it only costs at maximum (without a bulk discount), maybe 10 dollars to make a pillow like that. Just a thought to help you curb your pillow obsession and help you have a true vacay…I know I want one myself.
I found this today. This woman, Anna, makes artistic pillows and they are being sold to help her pay for her 16 rounds of Chemo she needs to beat the recurred breast cancer. The insurance company dropped her because it's a preexisting condition.
I thought you would like to see this and possibly spread it to help her.
