Summer Mixers

This evening I was asked to be the "photographer" at the company summer party. (And I use photographer in the loosest sense of the term.) It's amazing how many people do not like having their picture taken, no matter how beautiful you tell them they look. Shooting with my prime lens, I was also surprised to find how far apart people stand when talking to each other. Every other picture was me saying, "Squishage, I need squishage." Overall, it was a fun time though. Here are a few of my favorites.

This is Stacy. She has amazing hair all the time. It could be that she just does it for work, but I wouldn't be surprised if she woke up on Saturday mornings with her perfect 'do all intact, all by itself. She's seen here with America, our fun-loving, carefree company mascot.

See these? OK, look again. Because these, my friends, may be the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. Ever. Upon first glance, they might remind you of that messed up batch of cookies you might have made in your baking past -- you know what I'm talking about, the ones that taste really bready and not good at all? Didn't we all make those at some point? Well, these tricky devils taste anything but like that. They are blissfully doughy in the middle, but conveniently in a chocolate chip cookie form. So while it may not be socially acceptable to eat spoonfuls of cookie dough while standing around drinking cocktails with your co-workers, you can definitely get away with eating cookie dough if it's disguised as a normal party cookie. So clever! Thank you, Gunther's Catering!

And it really wouldn't have been a company party if we didn't have lots of vino everywhere.
