Having my birthday fall on a three-day weekend was all sorts of splendid. The old soda fountain at History Park was so cute. With its quaint wallpaper and old-fashioned candies, O’Brien’s was a perfect place to spend the afternoon.
We had sundaes– with a cherry on top!
This cash register looks like it came straight out of a scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory — I love it!
We also visited an old “printing shop” at the park which had all sorts of cool printing relics. A man inside was busy printing bookmarks — I took one to remember the day by.
Other birthday perks included margaritas with lunch…
…dinner at Gochi’s where they have amazing clay rice bowls with itty bitty dried fish…
…risotto croquettes (exactly as to-die-for as it sounds!)…
…and exotic fusion specialties like kimchi pizza…
…and last, but not least, birthday cake, birthday wishes, happy friends, and lots of dancing.
Looks so fun! You'll have to bring me to the old soda fountain sometime 🙂
Happy Birthday! Late! Yummy looking food, though a surprising lack of chocolate on the cake.
Definitely Jennifer — we can go on the tour too! Hehe.
Thanks Rich!
FUN!
My birthday is sometimes Columbus Day weekend…but that was only a three day weekend at school, I doubt I'll get it off at work
