Toto Ice Cream

General

Our friend Toto has an ice cream store in Cambodia that’s named after him. The grand opening happened on the second or third day we were in Phnom Penh, and it seemed after that not a day would go by that we didn’t stop in for a visit. The homemade ice cream was phenomenal and highlighted the exotic flavors of the country–such as durian, passion fruit, and mango–but I also couldn’t get enough of the cute decor and vibe. As background music, they played acoustic versions of top 40 songs like Usher’s OMG which sounded surprisingly pretty!

the sampler: three scoops of lamut-flavored ice cream for the locals (sweet steamed vegetable is the best I can describe it), blueberry cheesecake, green tea, chocolate, coconut-jackfruit, durian, and one that tasted like Baileys

our pretty French friend (who can karaoke Mariah Carey songs like nobody’s business) — hi V!
