Carmel-by-the-Sea
This weekend Alan and I took a trip to Carmel because we were in the mood for a little adventure. Have you ever been? It was our first time visiting, and I couldn't get over how quaint everything was. We parked downtown (for free since there are no parking meters anywhere!) and stopped to eat a few huge pretzels from this popular bakery. Walking through the neighborhoods was my favorite part. There are no sidewalks, street lights, or even addresses! And I loved how the cottages all had names instead of house numbers. It's definitely the kind of place you'd dream about opening up a bed and breakfast (or, if you're like me, staying in one for an extended period, haha).

The roof on that first house is so interesting! I wonder what it's made of.
I went to Carmel for a wedding once. It is a really cute little town. I was supposed to go again recently but the trip fell through. I hope to make it back sometime. Where did you stay (or was it just a day trip)?
Briel, we just went for the day, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun to stay there overnight :)
I've always wanted to stay there, love that part of the state. Great photos!
It looks adorable and very English :) You guys should come to England!! You'd get your fill of quaint... especially in places like Stratford-upon-Avon. And bonus would be, coming to Cambridge to meet me ;) xxx
Love Carmel! Beautiful pictures :)
