Friday Flicks: What's Your Favorite Genre?

Even though I like all kinds of movies, I really enjoy rom coms, even if most of them are overly predictable. It makes watching the good ones that much better. Alan and I recently watched The Five-Year Engagement and Your Sister's Sister, and now I totally have a girl crush on Emily Blunt. She always plays this funny, charming, down-to-earth character. Have you seen either? The dialogue in Your Sister's Sister is so real and spot on—like listening to your good friends having a conversation. The Five-Year Engagement's out for rent now, and while it's a little more mainstream and silly, it still made me laugh out loud. Are you a rom com fan? What's your favorite movie genre?

p.s. one of my all-time favorite romantic comedies

That's so funny you included two of my favorite recent movies. I love Emily Blunt! And Jason Segel is hilarious in the Five Year Engagement and on How I Met Your Mother. I actually saw him in person on Friday: I go to school in downtown Seattle and he was at the Center House with Michelle Williams and her daughter. Everyone at my school was going crazy, I felt so bad for them, but it was really fun to see two of my favorite actors in person!

Claire, that's so cool!! p.s. Alan totally wants to move to your city, but I don't think I can hang with the rain!

Haha you should come visit and check it out. It actually doesn't rain that much - only about 35 inches per year. It's overcast much more often than it actually rains - and in the summer we have droughts for months. You'd love Seattle: we have great farmer's markets, stores, transportation and restaurants. And of course, coffee. :) If you ever take a trip here, send me a message and I'll recommend some things for you and Alan!
