Weeklies 10/1-10/7

fallen leaves
{our festive, autumnal lawn}

Lately, I feel like I've been having a hard time keeping up with everything. There's always so much to do! Last night I tried hard to just relax and enjoy the evening and randomly ended up at an Indian fashion show with my sister. Afterwards, we went out for sushi and stopped by a candy store—and I didn't worry about a thing. Hopefully it's the start of a very long carefree streak. Other happy moments this week include the crunch of leaves underfoot on walks around the neighborhood and eating these eggs for dinner.

the fundamental techniques of classic pastry arts
{a belated birthday present from Roy which includes the recipe for the aforementioned pie :)}

I just got introduced to a Cal Newport article in the NY times this week - I really want to read this book as well!

You should! I've been following his blog for the past year or two and I love his point of view. www.calnewport.com/blog
