I had a lunch date this weekend with my friend Jennifer, who lives an hour away in the City. She picked a restaurant in the Dogpatch neighborhood which I'd never been to and was excited to visit. Here's how we spent the afternoon...
Instead of driving, I hopped on Caltrain and had a relaxing ride up. People always say time spent on the train is great for reading and doing other productive things, but I ended up looking out the window and thinking about nothing in particular. It was actually quite lovely.
We shared a burrata and fried polenta salad, the funghi pizza (those slivers of garlic added so much flavor!) and the beef and pork polpettes. I love eating with Jennifer because she's always down to share :)
Until next time, San Francisco!
