I got the idea for these wish kits as I was rushing to get ready for a friend’s surprise birthday breakfast. After remembering the cake, the gifts and the guests, people often forget the candles and matches. I figured these might come in handy. 🙂 They would be cute to give in place of regular birthday cards or even just because.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
* Cellophane treat bags
* Colorful tissue paper
* Make a Wish stickers (here’s the free printable)
* Repositionable Mounting Spray or regular glue
* Birthday candles (I like the look of tall candles)
* Strike anywhere matches
Instructions:
Print out the Make a Wish “stickers” on plain paper and cut them out (we’ll turn them into stickers later). Cut the tissue paper to match the size of the treat bag and slide it in the bag. On top of that, add in a candle and match. Lightly spray the back of a Make a Wish circle of paper with spray glue. Fold the top of the bag over and place the sticker over it to seal. Start giving away wishes!
Cute idea.
I have that little glass bottle with those matches too. It kind of bugs me that no other matches work on it (they always break and never light) and I can only use those green ones. Must buy more! 🙂
Love this idea!
