Easy Christmas Crafts: Mason Jar Snow Globes

General

diy christmas gifts
Crafts are a fun way to get in the holiday spirit, especially if they’re easy to put together. My friends at Going Lovely hosted an afternoon of crafting and showed us how to make these snow globes in just five steps. They’d be a fun activity to do with friends and family this week if you’re feeling crafty. (I can’t believe Christmas is this Thursday!) Here’s how to make them…

1. Get a mason jar. You can use any size you want. Or make a few snow globes in different sizes for a cute grouping.

2. Hot glue your mini figurines to the underside of the lid and let dry. You can find everything you need at Michael’s or a similar arts and crafts shop. My favorite items to create a snow scene include sisal trees and cars. You can tie the tree to the top of the car like this!

3. Add some fake snow into your jar. Don’t worry about adding too much — you can always take some out later.

4. Screw your lid back on.

5. Turn your jar upside down. Check to see if you need to add more or less snow.

And that’s it! Tie some ribbon around it for a finishing touch, then display them around your house or give them away as gifts.

Thanks for the fun afternoon, Going Lovely!
