Today I wanted to share some of the photos from my friend Lexi’s bridal shower. Since I was busy playing photographer, I got to sit back and observe, and I realized just how much bridal showers are like the grown up version of little girls’ birthday parties. The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the pretty favor table. Whereas we used to take home stickers and Lisa Frank pencils, now we take home bags of delicate teas and sweets.

According to my mother, back-in-the-day, the ladies that hosted bridal showers would open up the presents and display them so the bride could socialize with her guests. I thought that sounded strange, but after going through the whole process for myself I wished they'd brought out the ladies for me! I hated opening up all those presents and now when I attend a bridal shower I always feel uncomfortable sympathy pain for the bride-to-be.
I never knew that! I'd be a pretty great gift opener– maybe I should offer to help at all bridal showers 😉
Thanks for being our photographer! My favorite tea was the mint. Yum! And yes, Lexi is gorgeous. 🙂
I love the idea of a tea-tasting! All of your teapots are sooo gorgeous…

Looks like a great party! I'm not a fan of tea but everything looks so pretty and well set up. I love how the game prizes are wrapped. 🙂
